Another occasional update on the new hotel in West Ealing – nothing’s happening. Having cracked on with the demolition it’s all been quiet for the last 10 days or so. I hope plans are still on schedule as I’m looking forward to Tony Luckhurst’s return in good time for Christmas.
At this stage of the new construction I would expect the concrete foundations poured and cured but there is still a lot of difficult demolition still to be carried out above the bright house shop.
This site is not the easiest of sites to redevelop and if the owners want to change their original plans for extra storeys then I can only see a long delay before any ground floor units are complete and safe to operate.
I sincerely hope the work will resume very soon and the owners will meet any promises made to the local traders and local community.
